The Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,912 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the Philippines’ tally to 494,605. 

According to the DOH’s latest data, seven Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time. 

Bulk of the new cases came from Davao City with 136; followed by Quezon City with 107; Agusan del Sur with 61; Dagupan City with 57; and Cavite with 54.

Currently, there are 25,614 active Covid-19 cases undergoing medical treatment or quarantine.

The country’s recovery rate increased to 459,252 with 746 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 9,739 with 40 new fatalities. Ronald dela Cruz
