The Philippines’ coronavirus tally now totals 511,679 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported Saturday 1,797 new infections.

According to the latest DOH data, four Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their data on time. 

Bulk of the new cases came from President Rodrido Duterte’s hometown Davao City with 151; followed by Quezon City with 90; Rizal with 80; Isabela with 64; and Bulacan with 62.

Currently, there are 33,603 active Covid-19 cases undergoing medical treatment or quarantine; 82.6 percent are mild, 11 percent are asymptomatic, 2.2 percent are severe, and 3.8 percent are in critical condition.

 

The country’s recovery rate increased to 467,886 with 166 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness. 

Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 10,190 with 54 new fatalities. Ronald dela Cruz
