The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) tally rose to 507,717 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported Thursday 1,783 new infections. 

According to the latest DOH’s data, four Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time. 

Bulk of the new cases came from Quezon City with 99; followed by Rizal province with 83; the City of Manila with 78; Bulacan province with 69; and Cavite province with 66.

Currently, there are 30,126 active Covid-19 cases undergoing medical treatment or quarantine: 84.8% have mild symptoms, 8% are asymptomatic, 4.4% are in critical condition, 2.5% have severe symptoms, and 0.4% have moderate symptoms.

The country’s recovery rate increased to 467,475 with 500 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness. 

Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 10,116 with 74 new fatalities. Ronald dela Cruz
