The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) tally rose to 387,161 after the Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday confirmed an additional 1,772 new infections.
According to the latest DOH data, 18 Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily data on time.
Bulk of the new cases today came from Pampanga with 154; Quezon City with 115; Laguna with 83; Baguio City with 70; and the City of Manila with 69.
Currently, 30,876 remaining active Covid-19 cases are undergoing treatment or quarantine: 82.5 percent are mild, 10 percent are asymptomatic, 2.7 percent are severe, and 4.8 percent are in critical condition.
The country’s recovery rate increased to 348,967 with 153 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll stands at 7,318 with 49 new fatalities.
“Moreover, 13 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths,” the DOH added.
