The Philippines’ caseload for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) reached 441,399 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday 1,574 new infections.
Majority of the new cases came from Davao City with 187 cases; followed by Rizal (96); Rizal (50); Pampanga (80); Quezon City (69); and Pasig City (59).
Currently, 24,125 active Covid-19 cases are undergoing medical treatment or quarantine: 84.6% have mild symptoms, 6.4% are asymptomatic, 2.9% experience severe symptoms, and 5.8% are in critical condition.
The country’s recovery rate increased to 408,702 with 80 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll now stands at 8,572 with 18 new fatalities.
