The Philippines logged 1,547 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, the lowest reported case since February 24, pushing the nationwide tally to 2,818,511.

The Department of Health (DOH) also announced that three Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their reports on time. 

Currently, there are 27,025 active Covid-19 cases, also the lowest since January 15. Among the said number,  61.0% were mild, 5.9% were asymptomatic, 17.59% were moderate, 10.8% were severe, and 4.6% were in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery climbed to 2,745,777 with 2,601 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, increased to 45,709 with 128 new fatalities. 

The health department also confirmed that 16 duplicates were removed from the nationwide count, including 12 recoveries. 

Moreover, 109 recoveries were reclassified as fatalities after verification. Ronald Espartinez
