The Philippines’ total coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases increased to 442,785 after the Department of Health (DOH) announced on Tuesday 1,400 new infections.

Nine Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time, according to the DOH’s latest data.

Bulk of the new cases came from Benguet with 101; followed by Davao City with 90; Quezon City with 82; Rizal with 75; and Laguna with 56.

Currently, 25,325 active Covid-19 cases are undergoing treatment or quarantine.

 

 

The country’s recovery rate went up to 408,790 with 139 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll now stands at 8,670 with 98 new fatalities. RJ Espartinez
