The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) tally leaped to 413,430 after the Department of Health (DOH) announced on Thursday 1,337 new infections, with 11 Covid-19 laboratories failing to submit their daily reports on time. 

This marks the 10th consecutive day where new cases reported did not exceed the 2,000 mark.

Bulk of the new infections came from Davao with 110; followed by Laguna with 74; Quezon City with 66; Batangas with 54; and City of Manila with 53.

Currently, 30,493 active Covid-19 cases are undergoing treatment or quarantine: 84.5% are mild, 8 % are asymptomatic, 2.5 % are severe, and 4.7 % are in critical condition.

 

 

 

The country’s recovery rate increased to 374,939 with 286 more patients winning the fight against the deadly virus. 

Death toll stands at 7,998 with 41 new fatalities.
