The Philippines posted 1,295 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections from May 30 to June 5, 2022, 1.4% lower than the infections posted from the previous week, according to the Department of Health (DOH). 

The daily average for the week from the DOH’s weekly case bulletin was 185. The number was slightly lower compared to the 188 infections posted from May 23 to May 29 with 1,317 new Covid-19 infections. 

There are also 599 severe and critical infections who are currently admitted in hospitals because of Covid-19. 

Meanwhile, 69,487,920 people or 77.20% of the national government’s target population have already received full vaccination against Covid-19. Among the said number, 155,924 were vaccinated from May 30 to June 5. 

Moreover, 14,312,506 have already received booster shots. Among the said number, 174,278 were boosted during the same period. 

A fatality which happened in January 2021, was verified last week, .
