The Philippines’ coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) caseload reached 451,839 after the Department of Health (DOH) announced on Tuesday 1,135 new Covid-19 infections.

According to the latest DOH’s data, thirteen Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time. 

Bulk of the new cases came from Rizal with 117; followed by Bulacan with 84; Quezon City with 71; Isabela with 39; and Laguna with 38.

Currently, 24,160 active Covid-19 cases are undergoing treatment or quarantine.

The country’s recovery rate increased to 418,867 with 173 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, is now at 8,812 with 56 new fatalities reported.
