The Department of Health (DOH) announced 1,014 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, raising the Philippines’ tally to 472,532.

According to the DOH’s latest data, seven Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time. 

Bulk of the new cases came from Quezon City with 67; followed by Benguet with 57; Makati with 48; Bulacan with 44; and Laguna with 40.

Currently, 23,793 active Covid-19 cases are undergoing treatment or quarantine: 79.7 percent are mild, 11 percent are asymptomatic, 3.1 percent are severe, and 5.7 percent are in critical condition.

The country’s recovery rate increased to 439,509 with 518 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness. 

Death toll, on the other hand, stands at 9,230 with 68 new fatalities. RJ Espartinez
