The Philippines registered 10,019 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, bringing the nationwide tally to 2,632,881.

The Department of Health (DOH) also announced that four Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.

Today’s Covid-19 count brings the active infections to 115,328. Among the said number, 77.1% are mild, 13.6% are asymptomatic, 2.7% are severe, and 1.2% are in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 2,478,616 with 7,425 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, climbed to 38,937 with 109 new fatalities.

The health department said that 55 duplicate cases were successfully removed from the nationwide count. Moreover, 56 cases previously declared as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after validation.

“The DOH will be reporting additional deaths tomorrow in a separate advisory, to reflect numbers not included in the previous case bulletins due technical issues encountered with COVIDKaya,” the department added. Ronald Espartinez
