The Philippines Covid-19 death toll exceeded the 43,000 mark with 423 new fatalities, a new record-high. The tally stands at 43,044.
The Department of Health (DOH) said the country registered 4,008 new infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 2,7873,896.
The health department confirmed that four Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
Today’s count brings the active cases to 47,690. Among the said number, 74.4% were mild, 5.1% were asymptomatic, 11.27% were moderate, 6.5% were severe, and 2.7% were in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 2,693,162 with 6,887 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
The health department also reported that 54 duplicates were removed from the nationwide tally. Among the number, 44 were recoveries.
