The Philippines registered 9,868 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 2,622,917.
The Department of Health (DOH) also confirmed that two Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
The DOH said that they are still experiencing technical issues with COVIDKaya.
“The DOH is in constant coordination with the DICT to resolve technical issues with COVIDKaya,” the DOH said.
Today’s count brings the active cases to 112,807. Among the said number, 76.7% are mild, 13.9% are asymptomatic, 2.8% are severe, and 1.2% are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 2,471,282 with 133 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
For the second day in a row, the country registered no Covid-related deaths. The DOH said this was due to technical issues with the data system COVIDKaya
“The DOH is in constant communication with the Department of Information and Communications Technology to resolve technical issues with COVIDKaya,” it said.
Death toll remains at 38,828.
