The Philippines logged 6,560 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections Wednesday, pushing the nationwide tally to 1,524,449.
The Department of Health (DOH) also reported four Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
Today’s data brings the active cases in the country to 47,996 who are all undergoing medical treatment and quarantine: 92.1% are mild, 18% are asymptomatic, 1.6% are critical, 2.6% are severe and 1.84% are moderate.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 1,449,579 with 5,364 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 26,874 with 32 new fatalities.
The DOH also reported that it removed 14 duplicate cases as well as 8 recoveries and 2 deaths.
