The Philippines logged 12,805 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 2,535,732.

The Department of Health (DOH) said that only one Covid-19 laboratory failed to submit its daily report on time.

Currently, there are 132,339 active Covid-19 infections undergoing medical treatment and/or quarantine.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 2,365,229 with 12,236 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, increased to 38,164 with 190 new fatalities.

The health department explained that the low number count today was because of the laboratory output on Monday.

“Testing output last September 27 is only 51,377 compared to the 70,134 average daily testing output for the last 7 days,” it said. Ronald Espartinez
