The Philippines on Tuesday received a fresh batch of Moderna Covid-19 vaccine doses.

A shipment of 682,360 Moderna jabs arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Tuesday morning.

The vaccines brought the country’s total stock to 134,461,900 doses.

Teodoro Herbosa, National Task Force Against Covid-19 special adviser, said these doses would be used in the inoculation of Filipinos aged 12 to 17.

The country expects four million more Moderna doses to arrive this month, he added.

Herbosa said that the Philippines had administered over 42,000 booster shots to date, and was aiming to administer nine million booster shots by yearend.
