The Philippines received 562,770 Pfizer vaccine doses on Wednesday night, of which over 500,000 will be distributed in Metro Manila cities.

Of the total doses, 51,480 will be allocated for Cebu and Davao, while the rest of the supply will be deployed to Metro Manila.

The shipment brought the country’s total Pfizer doses to 3,038,670.

On Thursday, the Philippines welcomed the arrival of 1.5 million doses of the Chinese CoronaVac vaccine developed by Sinovac Biotech.

According to the National Task Force Against Covid-19, the country also expects to receive an additional 1 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine on Friday, July 23.

With the two recent shipments, the Philippines now has 29,985,130 Covid-19 vaccine doses in total.
