The country’s Covid-19 vaccine stock has increased by 3.2 million doses after the delivery of 3.2 million vaccine doses from the Covax facility and China.

On Thursday morning, the Philippines received one million doses of Sinovac’s CoronaVac vaccine.

More than 2.2 million Pfizer jabs also arrived in Manila on Thursday night.

The shipment is the second batch of Pfizer vaccines the Covax facility has donated to the Philippines.

Health workers (A1), senior citizens (A2), persons with co-morbidities (A3) and the indigent population, overseas Filipino workers and other workers (A5) are eligible for the Covax vaccines.

The recent shipments brought the country’s vaccine total to 12,608,210 doses: 7.5 million Sinovac doses, 2,556,000 AstraZeneca doses, 2,472,210 Pfizer doses and 80,000 Sputnik V doses.

As of June 6, 5,965,651 doses have been administered nationwide. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
