The Philippines on Tuesday received 2.7 million doses of the Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccine.

According to the National Task Force Against Covid-19, the shipment contained 1,350,000 doses of Component 1 and 1,350,000 of Component 2.

They were procured by the national government.

The Philippines expects to receive 20 million doses of the vaccine by yearend.

To date, it has received over 4.3 million doses of the Russian vaccine.
