The Philippines on Monday received another shipment of CoronaVac Covid-19 doses from China’s Sinovac Biotech.
The country now has 12 million doses of the Chinese vaccine.
The latest shipment was the fifth batch of Sinovac vaccines to arrive this month. The country has received 6.5 million doses of the Chinese vaccine this June.
Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. and Health Secretary Francisco Duque III welcomed the arrival of the vaccines at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 7:30 a.m. today.
The country now has 17,455,470 Covid-19 vaccines.
Covax has provided the country with 2,556,000 AstraZeneca and 2,469,870 Pfizer doses.
Other purchased vaccines that have arrived were Moderna (249,600 doses) and Sputnik V (180,000 doses).
