A shipment of 1.5 million Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine doses arrived in the Philippines on Thursday.
The recent batch of vaccines brought the country’s total vaccine stock to 32,860,700 doses.
Health Undersecretary Ma. Carolina Vidal-Taiño said bulk of the Sinovac doses would be distributed in Metro Manila.
The rest will be delivered to areas in the country currently facing an uptick in Covid-19 cases.
Majority of the country’s vaccines came from Sinovac, with 18.5 million doses.
Vaccines from Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, Janssen and Moderna comprise 14,360,700 of the country’s total vaccines.
