When it comes to tweeting anything K-pop during the pandemic, the Philippines holds the second spot in the world.
Microblogging site, Twitter, said Filipinos ranks second with the highest number of K-pop-related tweets, and third in terms of fanbase on the platform.
The report was based on tweets sent from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 with 7.5 billion tweets about K-pop—setting a new record for the said topic.
Indonesia takes the top spot for the most number of K-pop tweets, followed by the Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, and the United States.
Meanwhile the top five most talked about K-pop groups are BTS, NCT, Blackpink, EXO, and Treasure.
