The Philippines recorded 6,483 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases, Thursday.

The Department of Health (DOH) said the nationwide caseload is now at 1,200,155.

According to the DOH, six laboratories failed to submit their daily report on time.

The country’s active Covid-19 infections slightly rose to 48,109; 92.7% are mild, 2.2% are asymptomatic, 2.1% are severe, and 1.6% are in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 1,131,942 with 4,335 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 20,379 with 210 new fatalities.

The DOH also confirmed that it successfully removed 25 duplicate cases from the nationwide tally, while 139 cases previously declared as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after verification. Ronald Espartinez
