The Philippines reported 984 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 2,826,853. 

The Department of Health (DOH) said that three Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their reports on time, while two Covid-19 laboratories were not operational on November 20. 

Currently, there are 19,798 active Covid-19 infections undergoing medical treatment and/or quarantine: 56.6% are mild, 4.6% are asymptomatic, 13.3% are severe, and 5.6% are in critical condition. 

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 2,759,767 with 2,229 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, climbed to 47,288 with 218 new fatalities. 

The health department also confirmed that 447 duplicates were removed from the nationwide count. Moreover, 94 infections were found negative and have been removed from the total case count as well. 

Lastly, 169 infections previously declared as recoveries were reclassified as fatalities after validation. Ronald Espartinez
