The Philippines on Monday registered 951 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, the lowest daily count this year, pushing the nationwide tally to 3,661,997.
The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed five Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their reports on time.
Among the new cases today, 895 or 94% of total cases happened within the recent 14 days from February 14 to 27.
The National Capital Region (NCR) topped the regions with the most number of new cases at 26%; followed by Region IV-A with 15%; and Region VI with 10%.
Currently, there are 52,179 active Covid-19 infections: 528 are asymptomatic, 47,157 are mild, 1,417 are severe, and 298 are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 3,553,367 with 1,717 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, increased to 56,451 with 50 new fatalities. Ronald Espartinez
