The Philippines reported 500 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 2,833,038.
Today’s count marks the eight straight day where new infections were below the 1,000 mark.
The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that three Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time, while two laboratories were not operational on November 29, 2021.
Currently, there are 15,327 active Covid-19 infections undergoing medical treatment and/or quarantine: 47.14% are mild, 4.9% are asymptomatic, 25% are moderate, 16.23% are severe, and 7% are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 2,768,999 with 951 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 48,712 with 167 new fatalities.
The health department also revealed that nine duplicates, including eight recoveries, were decreased from the nationwide count. Ronald Espartinez
