The Philippines reported 3,792 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 3,634,368.

The Department of Health (DOH) said that all Covid-19 laboratories were working since February 10, but four laboratories failed to submit their reports on time. 

Among today’s counts, 3,625 or 96% happened within the last 14 days, from January 30 to February 12, 2022.

The National Capital Region (NCR) topped the regions in the country with the most number of new cases in the last two weeks at 520 or 14%; followed by Region 6 with 397 or 11%; and Region 11 with 328 or 9%.

Currently, there are 84,229 active Covid-19 infections undergoing medical treatment: 3,016 were asymptomatic, 76,487 were mild, 2,971 were moderate, 1,443 were severe, and 312 were in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 3,495,209 with 10,662 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, climbed to 54,930 with 76 new fatalities. 

The health department also confirmed that it removed 61 duplicates from the nationwide count. Among the said number, 50 were recoveries. Ronald Espartinez
