The Philippines reported 235 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 2,836,868. 

The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that eight Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time, while four laboratories were not working. 

Currently, there are 10,526 active Covid-19 infections undergoing medical treatment: 4,104 are mild, 659 are asymptomatic, 1,868 are severe, and 393 are in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 2,775,991 with 780 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness. 

Death toll, on the other hand, climbed to 50,351 with 10 new fatalities. 

The health department also reported that five duplicates were removed from the nationwide count. Ronald Espartinez
