The Philippines posted 2,227 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, elevating the nationwide count to 2,826,410.

The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that two Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time, while two more laboratories were not operational on November 19. 

Currently, there are 21,101 active Covid-19 infections undergoing medical treatment and/or quarantine: 56.9% are mild, 4.4% are asymptomatic, 13% are severe, and 5.5% are in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 2,758,235 with 3,152 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness. 

Death toll, on the other hand, climbed to 47,074 with 175 new fatalities. 

The health department also reported that 125 duplicates were successfully removed from the nationwide count. Moreover, 191 infections found negative after validation have been removed. Ronald Espartinez
