The Philippines’ caseload for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) reached 367,819 after the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed 2,057 infections with 12 Covid-19 laboratories failing to submit their data on time.
This marks the eight consecutive day where new cases reported did not exceed the 3,000 mark.
Currently, 47,773 remaining active Covid-19 cases are undergoing treatment or quarantine: 83.7 percent are mild, 11.4 percent are asymptomatic, 1.8 percent are severe, and 3.1 percent are in critical condition.
The country’s recovery rate increased to 313,112 with 442 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll stands at 6,934 with 19 fatalities: 16 died in October, two in September, and one in April.
The Philippines retains its 20th spot in the world for the most number of Covid-19 cases, trailing behind neighbor Indonesia on the 19th spot with 385,980 cases.
