The Philippines reported 13,846 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, the lowest recorded since August 31, further pushing the nationwide tally to 2,522,965.

The Department of Health (DOH) said that seven Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time. 

Today’s infection count brings the country’s active tally to 132,139. Among the said number, 76.6% are mild, 16.4% are asymptomatic, 2.1% are severe, and 0.9% are in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate climbed to 2,353,140 with 39,980 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.

Death toll, on the other hand, increased to 37,686 with 91 new fatalities. 

The health department also reported that 58 duplicate cases were removed from the nationwide count. Moreover, 37 cases previously declared as recovered were reclassified as fatalities. Ronald Espartinez
