PH logs 11,995 new Covid-19 infections from Oct. 17-23

The Philippines reported 11,995 new coronavirus disease 2019 (2019) infections in the past week, the Department of Health (DOH) said.

The country has an average of 1,714 daily infections from October 17-23, which is 22 percent lower compared to the previous week.

This is the ninth consecutive week where the country did not exceed the 20,000 weekly cases mark.

Moreover, the health department reported 272 Covid-19 fatalities. The deaths occurred in the following months:
