The Philippines logged 11,085 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, pushing the nationwide tally to 1,776,495.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), today’s number brings the country’s active cases to 105,151

Among the said figure, 96% are mild, 1% are asymptomatic, 1.3% are severe, and 0.7% are in critical condition.

The health department also said that nine Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time. 

Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate increased to 1,640,721 with 11,628 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness. 

Death toll, on the other hand, climbed to 30,623 with 161 new fatalities.

The DOH also confirmed that 265 duplicates were removed from the nationwide count, while 74 cases previously declared as recoveries were reclassified as deaths. Ronald Espartinez
