Malacañang on Tuesday announced that establishment capacities in areas with vaccination rates of more than 70 percent among senior citizens and immunocompromised individuals would be increased by an additional 20 percent.

Acting Palace spokesman Karlo Nograles said the hike in allowed capacity was provided under the latest Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases resolution.

“Doon sa mga lugar na iyon, whatever alert level, whether you’re Alert Level 2 or Alert Level 3, may plus 20 percent,” Nograles said.

“And then, if you have the safety seal, you have the safety seal certificate, magpa-plus [10 percent] pa po,” he added.

Alert Level 2 areas allow establishments to operate at 50-percent capacity indoors and 70-percent capacity outdoors.

The operational capacities for Alert Level 3 are 30 percent and 50 percent for indoors and outdoors, respectively.
