The Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,949 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, raising the nationwide tally to 513,619.
The Health Department said five Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
Majority of the new cases came from Davao City with 99 cases; followed by Quezon City with 98; Cavite with 74; Baguio City with 73; and Leyte with 63.
Currently, there are 27,765 active Covid-19 cases undergoing medical treatment of quarantine.
The country’s recovery rate rose to 475,612 with 7,729 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Death toll, on the other hand, inches to 10,242 with 53 new fatalities. Ronald dela Cruz
