The Philippines folded 2020 with a total 474,064 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases after the Department of Health (DOH) announced 1,541 new Covid-19 infections.
According to the DOH’s latest data, only three Covid-19 laboratories failed to submit their daily reports on time.
Bulk of the new cases came from Quezon City with 101; followed by Baguio with 79; City of Manila with 67; Rizal with 65; and Davao with 59.
Currently, 25,024 remaining active Covid-19 cases are undergoing treatment or quarantine: 80.8 percent are mild, 10.4 percent are asymptomatic, 2.9 percent are severe, and 5.5 percent are in critical condition.
The country’s recovery rate is up to 439,796 with 296 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
Meanwhile, death toll stands at 9,244 with 14 new fatalities. RJ Espartinez
