The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed 2,048 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, raising the Philippines’ tally to 496,656.

According to the latest data of DOH, only one Covid-19 laboratory failed to submit its daily report on time. 

Bulacan posted the most number of new infections with 98; followed by Davao with 89; Pangasinan with 84; the City of Manila with 80; and Leyte with 73.

Currently, there are 27,033 active Covid-19 cases undergoing medical treatment or quarantine: 84.5% are mild, 7.4% are asymptomatic, 2.8% are severe, and 4.9% are in critical condition.

 

 

The country’s recovery rate pushes to 459,737 with 551 more patients winning the fight against the deadly respiratory illness.
