Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) deaths in the Philippines reached 107 after 11 new deaths were reported by the Department of Health (DOH) Thursday.

The total number of positive cases in the country also rose to 2,633 after additional 322 new infections entered the list.

Only 1 recovery was reported, bringing the total of recoveries to 51.

Health authorities are setting up subnational testing laboratories across the country. to increase its testing capacity.

A total of 4,726 individuals have been tested since late January.

The Philippine International Convention Center, the World Trade Center, and the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Metro Manila will be converted as isolation facilities by the national government to house 1,950 hospital beds and support overcrowded medical centers.

Other public facilities will also be converted as isolation facilities, such as the Duty Free Philippines in Parañaque, PhilSports Arena in Pasig, Quezon Memorial Circle Complex, Veterans Medical Center Complex, Amoranto Stadium and Quezon Institute in Quezon City.  (RJ Espartinez)
