The Philippines continues to report a low number of new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) positive cases with the Department of Health (DOH) announcing 102 new cases Saturday, bringing the country’s total number to 7,294.
Meanwhile, recoveries continue to take the lead over fatalities with 30 more patients successfully surviving the infection. The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the country stands at 792.
The health department’s daily bulletin also posted 17 new deaths, bringing the total tally of fatalities to 494.
Singapore remains on top in Southeast Asia and continuously posted high numbers of COVID-19 cases at 12,693. Indonesia followed behind with 8,607 cases trailed by the Philippines. (RJ Espartinez)
