The Philippine General Hospital (PGH) Medical Foundation, Inc. received a Php 1 million donation from the Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI).

In a statement, the MBFI said its donation “will aid in the rehabilitation of the hospital’s Operating Room Sterilization Area (OSRA) damaged by fire last May 16.”

The PGH Medical Foundation, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit organization formed to assist the Philippine General Hospital in achieving its mission of providing excellent health care for its indigent patients. It serves as a conduit of donations coming from various civic-minded individuals, corporations, foundations and other funding agencies.

The MBFI is the corporate philanthropic foundation of the Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (Metrobank). MBFI is also the principal owner of the Manila Doctors Hospital (MDH), one of the leading centers of wellness in the country.
