Sotto urged the beneficiaries to “find ways to give back to the city.”
“We also reminded them that as the city and its taxpayers have helped them get through school, they should also find ways to give back to the city… whether through their time, volunteer work, or even helping other students when they become financially capable,” he said in a tweet.
As of Sept. 30, 11 scholars have availed themselves of the cash grant.
