Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Monday said the city had allocated P300 million to purchase Covid-19 vaccines for Pasigeños.

In a Laging Handa briefing, Sotto divulged that Pasig was preparing for a “city-wide” vaccination.

Sotto affirmed that medical frontliners would be the first in line for the vaccines.

“Pangalawa po, iyong senior citizens, tapos we will go from there,” he continued.

Other local government units in Metro Manila, including those of Quezon City, Caloocan, Valenzuela and Makati have also allotted millions for Covid-19 vaccine procurement.

As of Jan. 4, the country has recorded 478,761 Covid-19 cases. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
