Airing President Rodrigo Duterte’s “Talk to the People” addresses at almost midnight is not a problem since Filipinos can catch the replay the day after, Malacañang said on Tuesday.

Palace spokesman Harry Roque made the statement after Duterte’s Monday Talk to the People address that aired 15 minutes before midnight and lasted almost three hours.

Even though Duterte’s Talk to the People was meant to be a program where officials discuss publicly the country’s Covid-19 situation and roadmap, the president has used it to attack his political opponents and rant about the country’s other problems.
