The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Severe Tropical Storm Paeng’s total death toll now stands at 150.

According to the NDRRMC’s 6 a.m. report, 94 of the said 150 deaths have been confirmed while the remaining numbers were still for verification. 

Majority of the reported deaths came from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao with 63; followed by Calabarzon with 33 and Western Visayas with 29.

Moreover, around 36 individuals are declared missing and 126 were injured. 

The NDRRMC added that 3,963,555 people or 1,131,409 families were affected by Paeng. Among the said number, 173,957 persons or 43,996 families were staying inside 2,094 evacuation centers, while 1,038,344 individuals or 355,032 families were staying in other areas.

Total damage to agriculture is pegged at P2.441 billion.

A total of 292 cities/municipalities were declared under a state of calamity due to Paeng.
