Tropical Storm Paeng’s center was spotted at 520 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Phivolcs) said.

The storm has maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h.

Paeng is slowly moving southwestward.

Possible flooding or landslides due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains are expected in Samar province.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may be possible in MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, the rest of the Visayas, and the Zamboanga Peninsula.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains.
