Senator and presidential candidate Manny Pacquiao committed that he will end poverty in the Philippines like what he did with his own family and relatives.

Pacquiao highlighted that many intelligent presidents ruled the country but poverty is still prevalent.

“Kung paano ako nangarap para maiahon sa kahirapan ang aking pamilya, relatives, ganun din po ang aking pangarap na maiahon sa kahirapan ang buong sambayanang Pilipino,” he said during the Presidential Candidates Forum organized by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP).

Pacquiao added that one of his plans is to provide free housing, jobs, business, and livelihood for Filipinos.

Also part of his mission is to end corruption and imprison corrupt officials who he said caused poverty among Filipinos.

“Gusto kong makita sa kulungan ang lahat ng magnanakaw sa gobyerno na silang dahilan ng paghihirap ng sambayanang Pilipino,” he said. Ronald Espartinez
