More than 800,000 government-procured Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine doses arrived in the Philippines on Wednesday night.
According to the National Task Force (NTF) Against Covid-19, the 813,150 doses will be delivered to areas in the country with high Covid-19 cases.
Of the doses,102,960 shots were delivered to Cebu City, while another 102,960 doses were shipped to Davao City.
The NTF said the rest of the doses were allocated for Metro Manila and other areas facing Covid-19 surges.
The Philippines has so far received 1,751,490 of the 40 million Pfizer doses it had procured.
It has also received 2,472,210 donated Pfizer jabs.
