The Philippines received more than 365,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine on Wednesday.

According to the National Task Force Against Covid-19, 365,040 Pfizer doses arrived in the country on Wednesday.

Of the total, 313,560 landed in Manila, while 51,480 landed in Cebu.

Another 51,480 doses were delivered to Davao on Thursday morning.

The latest shipments of 365,040 Pfizer doses were part of the 40 million doses the government procured from the US drug firm.

Of the 40 million shots, 2,116,530 Pfizer have arrived in the Philippines.

The Philippines has also received 2,472,210 Pfizer doses from the Covax facility.

The government is prioritizing NCR Plus 8, which consists of Metro Manila, Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, Pampanga, Batangas, Metro Cebu and Metro Davao, in its vaccination drive. John Ezekiel J. Hirro
