News media: A vanishing tribe
Like dinosaurs, journalists are vanishing in today’s society, replaced my social media influencers and ordinary vloggers who draw much attention to the most mundane issues but which so many people can relate to.
The US, too, is disregarding international laws
Big powers, like the United States and China, have been pushing their own national interests, disregarding international laws and infringing on the rights of weaker and smaller neighbors.
Bringing the dictator back to life
The new form of parliamentary government may start in 2031, perpetuating the Marcos-Romualdez political clan in power and preserving the dictator’s legacy.
The People’s Initiative train has left the station
The political train has left the station to stop Vice President Sara Duterte from running for president in the 2028 national elections.
The House’s year-ender gift: Mandatory ROTC
It is a year-ender gift that is not welcome. Mandatory ROTC must be opposed in the campuses and on the streets.
Roderick Paulate is a small fry
Roderick Paulate is a small fry. Does that matter? No. He must go to jail for his crimes. But if his sentence is 62 years maximum prison time for 30 ghost employees over a period of just 5 months, how much more the Dutertes with 11,246 over a period of years?
Diosdado Macapagal dies in his daughter
It is time to contrast Gloria Macapagal Arroyo with the norm against the Marcos dictatorship that her father had left us.
Sara Duterte’s collection of COA red flags
It would seem that the Commission on Audit is one of the handful few not afraid of Duterte vengeance. And this time they have done it again for daughter Sara when she was mayor of Davao City. It certainly was not her first time to be red-flagged.
It’s back!
As this controversy intensifies, we, the general public, must rightfully be concerned. As mentioned already, this so-called confidential or intel fund is essentially the outlawed pork barrel system.
Deadly Dispatch: Ampatuan massacre 13 years after
As we remember the victims of the Ampatuan massacre today, let us also remember all the journalists who are still alive, and despite the threats on their lives and their families, remain honest and vigilant.

Continuous Hope for Peace
Peace is a constant longing in people’s hearts. It is so much desired and so much needed in our world, but at the same time it is so elusive.
Green Christmas
